Q + A

Wedding Updates

Q: Will there be updates on the wedding website?

A: Yes! Our wedding website will be updated regularly with additional events and information. We are planning some exciting activities like fishing trips, dinner events, and games for those looking to fill their stay with more than just the wedding day festivities. We will be adding new photos to our library as our lovely guests submit them. We will also be updating our playlist until we have a week's worth of sweet jams. Check back often for the latest updates.

Travel Information

Q: What are the requirements for international travel from the United States to Mexico?

A: For U.S. citizens traveling to Mexico, you will need a valid passport. No visa is required for stays under 180 days. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. Additionally, you will need to fill out an FMM (Forma Migratoria Múltiple) immigration form, which can be completed online before your trip or upon arrival if flying.

Weather and Packing Tips

Q: What is the weather like in Troncones, Mexico, during the winter?

A: Winter in Troncones is warm and pleasant, with temperatures ranging from lows of 70°F to highs of 85°F (21°C to 29°C). It's a great time for beach activities and exploring the area. Pack light, breathable clothing, swimwear, sunscreen, and a hat to protect yourself from the sun.

Travel & Accomodation

Q: What should I know about booking flights to Mexico?

A: When searching for flights, focus on winter dates to understand pricing, as flights are limited during the summer months. There are several flights available during winter, with many connecting through major hubs like LAX, which offers direct flights to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo Airport (ZIH). Don't worry about the lack of flights in the summer; winter travel has more options.

Wedding Gifts

Q: How should we handle wedding gifts?

A: Please do not bring wedding gifts to Mexico. If you'd like to give a gift, we're happy to provide our mailing address, or you are welcome to visit us in lovely Santa Cruz, California.

Wedding Photography & Videography

Q: Will there be photography and videography at the wedding?

A: Yes, we will have photography and videography scheduled for the wedding day and possibly some peripheral events. If you have any recommendations for photographers or videographers who are interested in a tropical Winter trip, please let us know!

Dress Code

Q: What is the dress code for the wedding events?

A: The dress code for all events is casual beach attire. Please do not wear white on the wedding day. We love to see your style, but for your comfort, loose, flowy clothes and barefoot/flip flops are best as the temperature will be in the high 80s.

International Phone Service

Q: How is the cell phone service in Guerrero, Mexico?

A: Cell service can be spotty in Guerrero, Mexico. It's advisable to check with your carrier regarding international coverage. Ensure your phone is set up for international use and consider getting an international plan to avoid high roaming charges. Most service plans accomodate short term travel provisions.

Children at the Wedding

Q: Are children allowed at the wedding?

A: No, children are not allowed. We ask that you leave your kids at home if you'd like to attend. This is not a particularly safe environment for children, and we want to ensure a stress-free experience for everyone.
